Battle Reporting tips
INSTRUCTIONS TO MEMBERS !
READ ALL.
The links above will allow you access to the new WPL
Peck Scoring System.
- You can click on the Wolfpack Server
link to check the status of the server.
- The Member Log In link with send you to
your personal dossier. There you should enter your member # and password. If
you do this correctly you will open the dossier and see your stats and
info. There is a button on the left page to turn ON/OFF the permission for a
battle reporter to enter a Battle Report that will update your stats. It is
important that you turn this ON before you begin a battle. Once your
permission is ON, the logbook will close automatically after 10 seconds.
- What is your member# ? Check here:
Master
List
- What is your password ? You chose a password
back when you filled out the JOIN UP! form. A good U-boat captain
always writes down his password. You should too or you may miss out
and not get to play STAT games.
- The Battle Reporting link will send you
to the login cover of a Battle Report. Not all players will have access to
be a Battle Reporter, so if you are kicked out, you will need to complete
the Battle Reporter Training and check with
BdU to apply for permission to be a BRer. One Battle Reporter, whether
playing as a DD or a U-boat, will record for the DD players info in the EGL
Battle Report and the U-boat players info in the WPL Battle Report.
- If you are a Battle Reporter, by entering your
member# and password, you will gain access to a Battle Report. Each BR is
uniquely numbered. Your name and member# is tied to the report so if you
fudge the facts or mess it up, it's your ass. That's the quickest way to
lose BR status.
- You must be sure all members who are to be
recorded in the Battle Report affirm they have their permission turned ON
before you open a BR.
- You enter the info for the battle. First, you must have the other players turn their
permissions ON. They do this individually in their personal dossier, through
the Member Log in link. The BR will not let you enter a player's battle
results unless his permission is ON. All members must be sure their
permission is on. If they must, they can log back into the Member Info dossier page to
confirm.
- The Kill Board will immediately display
the results from these tests.
- After several members meet for a battle, the
battle reporter logs into the Battle Report to do a report. If the BRer gets
an error message "Member #XX did not give permission to update", the members
need to re-login to the dossier page to be sure their Perm is still ON. If one
player doesn't have his perm on, he must turn it on and all other must
re-login and check. This is the only problem we are having at this time,
people who say their permission is ON yet they are mistaken, they did not
check. If they cannot perform this simple task, they will be ineligible for
STAT games and prizes.
- Once a battle report has been filed,
the perm will turn OFF automatically for all
members. This is
a security feature that prevents someone from using you in a fictional
report. You do not need to to turn your permission OFF.
- To get in a game, always meet in the
WPL Primary Operations room first. When you log into the Chat Room, use
your name and test member#. Ex: Colin #4, John #1269, or Heiko #29.
Good hunting!
